The Kyrgyz mobile operator Mega has completed the first test drive of 5G wireless network technology, Ritmeurasia.org reports.

This technology offers faster download and upload speeds while allowing more devices to be connected at the same time.

Test have shown that: the data transfer rate for the new technology was 1690-2000 Mbit/s, which is 7 times higher compared to 4G; data reception rate 105 Mbps; throughput has increased from 33% to 100% compared to 4G.

During test trials, telecom operators demonstrated the capabilities of 5G in the field of virtual reality, as well as the ability to control an industrial robot in real time and the quality of video content services.

5G provides a lot of convenience to a person. First of all, it is an affordable and high-quality Internet connection. For example, with the help of new technology in real time it will be possible to perform the most complex operations. And for people who are engaged in agriculture, the technology provides the ability to remotely control agricultural machinery and monitor the condition of fields. Finally, 5G will bring clarity and quality to ultra-high-definition video and virtual reality events.

There are three main cellular operators in Kyrgyzstan - Mega, Beeline and operator "O". Mega was the first company to start the process of introducing 5G technology. There are more than 4 million active clients of mobile operators in Kyrgyzstan.
