The foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in January-October 2022 amounted to $9.7 billion, an increase of 41.2%, Akchabar reports with reference to the EDB.
The cost volumes of exports of Kyrgyz goods to the market of the EAEU countries increased by 90.8%, including to Armenia - by 136.1%, to Belarus - by 100.5%, to Kazakhstan - by 17.2%, to Russia - by 161.8%.
At the same time, the total export volume of the republic decreased by 23.1% due to the reduction in gold supplies. Import in nominal terms increased by 1.8 times.
The key contribution to the growth of imports is provided by supplies from China (+205.3%).
Among the EAEU countries, the volume of mutual trade for 10 months of 2022 amounted to about $67 billion and increased by 12.8% compared to the same period last year, EDB analysts report.
Changes in production and logistics chains have created new opportunities for some of the EAEU economies.
Thus, according to the results of 10 months of 2022, Armenia’s exports to Belarus and Russia increased by 2.8 and 2.5 times compared to January-October 2021, Kyrgyzstan’s exports to these countries increased by 2 and 2.6 times, respectively. Export of Kazakhstan - 1.2 times to each of the countries.
The volume of mutual trade of the EAEU is predicted by the bank's analysts by the end of 2022 in the amount of $80-83 billion.
