Cargo turnover of Kazakhstan JSC "NC" KTZ "has grown to 252 billion ton-kilometers, which is a historical maximum for the years of independence of the country, Nurlan Sauranbayev, head of the Board of the Joint Stock Company said at a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokarev. Regarding the implementation of infrastructure projects, Sauranbayev said that in just three years it is planned to build 1285 km of tracks, which will increase freight traffic and increase the country's export potential. The share of local content during construction will be 85%.
In addition, the head of KTZ told about the work on the development of international transport corridors, the expansion of the capacity of the seaports of Aktau and Kuryk, as well as cooperation with large foreign transport and logistics companies.
