GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan in 2022 amounted to 5.9%, excluding the contribution of Kumtor

The gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan, according to preliminary estimates, in January-December 2022 amounted to more than 919 billion soms or $10,6 billion and increased by 7% compared to the same period in 2021. This is stated in the reports of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Akchabar reports.

Excluding enterprises for the development of the Kumtor mine, the growth rate of Kyrgyzstan's real GDP over this period amounted to 5.9%.

It is noted that in the structure of nominal GDP, the share of industries producing goods, compared with January-December 2021, decreased by 3.3%, amounting to 36.2%. At the same time, the share of agriculture decreased by 1.7% and amounted to 12.1%, industry - by 1.2% and amounted to 16.7% and construction - by 0.4% and amounted to 7.4%.

The share of industries providing services compared to January-December 2021 amounted to 49.1%. At the same time, the share of financial intermediation and insurance amounted to 6.2%, education - 6.9%. At the same time, the share of transport activities and cargo storage decreased by 0.3 percentage points and amounted to 3.6%, information and communications, health care and social services decreased by 0.3 percentage points and amounted to 2.5%, respectively.
