Gold reserves of Kyrgyzstan reach 16 tons

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan purchased 3 tons of gold in November 2022. Such data was provided by the World Gold Council, Economist.kg reported.

This is the first gold purchase by the Kyrgyz regulator in 2022, the World Council claims. After that, the gold reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached 16 tons.

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan have repeatedly stated that there are about 40 tons of gold in the vault of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, most of which was mined and refined by the Kumtor gold mining company.
