During its 2025 financial results, the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan announced the return of 352 billion soms (approximately $4.14 billion) to the state over the past five years. This was announced on January 29 at a board meeting of the agency, attended by the head of the committee, Kamchybek Tashiev, according to a statement from the SCNS press service.

According to the security service, the total amount of the return includes not only direct cash transfers but also tangible assets:

  • Real estate and state property;
  • Land plots;
  • Other assets obtained illegally.

All seized funds have been credited to a special account within the Presidential Stabilization Fund. Kamchybek Tashiev explained that these resources are being used to directly finance strategic infrastructure projects and key social programs, as directed by the head of state.

In 2025, the agency's main efforts were focused on three key areas:

  • Cleaning up the government apparatus: identifying corruption schemes among officials at all levels.
  • Weakening organized crime groups: systematic work to reduce the influence of organized crime groups on economic processes.
  • Suppressing illegal activity: identifying hidden assets acquired with proceeds from corruption.

The leadership of the State Committee for National Security emphasized that anti-corruption policy remains the foundation of the state strategy, and in 2026, oversight of the transparency of budgetary funds will only be strengthened.
