The company "Krantas Group" has made a significant step in the development of Uzbekistan's defense industry by presenting the first domestically produced armored personnel carrier (APC) named "Arslon," reports Eurasia Today.

This event marks an important milestone in Uzbekistan's efforts to enhance its military-technical potential and ensure national security.

"Arslon" is an eight-wheeled combat vehicle developed in accordance with NATO standards, indicating its high level of technological execution.

The APC is equipped with an advanced combat module that ensures effective execution of combat missions day and night.

Special attention has been given to crew protection: the front of the APC has level 6 protection, while the sides have level 4 protection.

"Arslon" is armed with a 30mm cannon and a 7.62mm machine gun, making it a powerful means of fire support. The APC can transport up to 11 personnel, including three crew members and eight troops, while providing high levels of anti-mine protection.

Alongside the new APC, the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan will receive a modernized version of the light armored vehicle "Tarlton-M." This vehicle is equipped with advanced digital communication systems and satellite navigation, significantly enhancing its tactical capabilities.

Production of this equipment is carried out at the joint venture "Krantas Group" and Tuypin Metal Constructions Plant in Nurafshan, Tashkent region.

The $55 million investment project envisages the production of a wide range of military and special-purpose vehicles, including light armored vehicles, tankers, trucks, and various types of specialized machinery.

The development and production of Uzbek armored vehicles not only strengthen Uzbekistan's defense capabilities but also contribute to the development of high-tech industrial sectors, creation of new jobs, and potential entry into the international arms market.

This demonstrates the country's commitment to technological independence and strengthening its position in the region.
