Iranian companies are interested in supplying Iranian equipment for the oil industry of Turkmenistan. This was stated by Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for Engineering, Research and Technology Vahidreza Zeidifard at a meeting with the heads of the State Concerns Turkmengas, Turkmenneft and Turkmenhimiya, Turkmenportal.com reports citing the Shana agency.
The statement was made following the results of a specialized economic exhibition of Iranian products, held on February 15-17 at the expo center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
Having familiarized those present with the potential of Iranian oil companies, Zeidifard emphasized that more than 70% of the equipment and items used in the country's oil industry are produced by domestic enterprises, and offered to supply relevant equipment to Turkmenistan.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Oil of Iran invited representatives of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan to visit Iran to get acquainted with the potential of the country's oil industry.
