Kazakhstan and China intend to sign an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements. The corresponding draft resolution of the Government of Kazakhstan has been posted on the Open NLA website for public discussion until April 26, Kazpravda.kz reports.

Under the agreement, Kazakhstanis will be able to stay in China without a visa for 30 days and a total of 90 days within 180 days. For the same period, Chinese citizens will be exempted from visa requirements in Kazakhstan.

If Kazakhstanis want to stay in China longer, they will have to apply for an appropriate visa before entering China.

It is planned that the agreement will be signed as part of the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to China on May 18-19, 2023 and will provide an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier it was reported that China and Russia are introducing visa-free entry for their citizens.
