The latest Global Passport Power Rank 2025, which evaluates passports based on visa-free access or visa-on-arrival opportunities, has been published, Zakon.kz reports.
This year, Kazakhstan ranks 52nd out of 95 countries, positioned between Guyana and Thailand.
Holders of a Kazakhstani passport can travel to 46 countries visa-free, obtain a visa on arrival in 50 countries, but must apply for a visa in advance for the remaining 102 nations. This gives Kazakhstan’s passport a mobility score of 95 points.
The United Arab Emirates tops the ranking with a record 180 points, meaning UAE citizens can travel visa-free to 133 countries.
Spain takes second place with 179 points, followed by 14 European nations in third place: Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Greece, and Ireland.
At the bottom of the ranking are Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Somalia.
Earlier, it was revealed that 1,488,308 Kazakhstani passports were issued in 2024—the highest number in the past 30 years.
