Kazakhstan increases tariff for transit of Russian oil

Starting from January 1, 2024, the tariff for the service of crude oil transportation through the territory of Kazakhstan via the Kazakh section of the main pipeline "Tuimazy – Omsk - Novosibirsk-2" ("TON-2") operated by JSC "KazTransOil" will be 11.28 US dollars per ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT), Kazinform reports.

The new tariff has been approved by the order of the General Director (Chairman of the Board) of JSC "KazTransOil."

Currently, the tariff is 4,292.4 tenge per ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT), and it has been in effect since April 1, 2018.

Thus, starting from January 1, 2024, the cost of crude oil transportation for transit through the territory of Kazakhstan via the Kazakh section of the main pipeline "TON-2" will be 2.1 US dollars per ton (excluding VAT). From April 1, 2018, to December 31, 2023, the cost of crude oil transportation for transit through the country's territory via the Kazakh section of the main pipeline "TON-2" is 799,455 tenge per ton (excluding VAT).

The main oil pipeline "TON-2" passes through the territories of Kazakhstan and Russia. On the Kazakh section of the main oil pipeline "TON-2," which is 186.25 km long, crude oil is supplied to the Pavlodar petrochemical plant, and Russian oil is transited to China and Uzbekistan.
