Kazakhstan returns to itself more than 676 bln tenge

The Interdepartmental Commission on Combating the Illegal Concentration of Economic Resources of Kazakhstan has achieved the return of 676 billion tenge to the state, the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan said. This damage arose as a result of the illegal withdrawal of financial resources from the country, the portal LS.kz reports.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan named the countries from which the main amount was returned - more than $ 500 million: the United Arab Emirates, Austria, China, Liechtenstein.

The Interdepartmental Commission for Combating the Illegal Concentration of Economic Resources dealing with the return of funds illegally exported from Kazakhstan was established by the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan dated June 5, 2022

Work to reveal the facts of illegal concentration of economic resources and the withdrawal of assets abroad continues, according to the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan.

At the current exchange rate, 675 billion tenge is almost $1.5 billion.
