Kazakhstan will collaborate with IT giants such as Epam, Binance, Google, and Huawei in training specialists. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Bagdat Musin said during a government meeting in Kazakhstan, Zakon.kz reports.
As part of the TechOrda program, the ministry has explored the possibility of providing education through a voucher system in advanced private IT schools for Kazakhstanis interested in pursuing IT professions. Currently, 2000 individuals have already undergone training through the program, granting them the opportunity to secure positions with salaries of 450,000 tenge.
"Collaboration with international partners will also have a positive impact on the development of the country's human capital. In other words, we will cooperate with giant companies such as Epam, Binance, Google, Huawei, and offer educational courses like Coursera. I express my gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for supporting our efforts in this direction. To strengthen this trend, we will implement the same mechanism for training IT teachers starting from December 1," said Bagdat Musin.
To enhance the quality of education, efforts have begun to implement relevant quality standards for IT faculties by the end of the year.
"We will conduct an audit of IT faculties in regional educational institutions in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. To boost this work, local authorities need to support project-based IT schools in regions and closely cooperate with businesses," added the minister.
At the same meeting, Musin admitted that his statement that the quality of the Internet in Kazakhstan was better than in Tokyo was erroneous. With his that statement, he caused a wave of indignation, including calls to resign.
