Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) reported a significant increase in grain exports to China, the company's press service reported.

In January-May 2025, the volume of transportation amounted to 1.6 million tons, which is 46% more than the same period last year. The main volume of supplies was compound feed - 1.1 million tons, which is five times more than the 2024 figures.

“Processing of agricultural products with high added value demonstrates sustainable growth,” KTZ noted.

The key points of shipment were the Altynkol (155 thousand tons) and Dostyk (173 thousand tons) border crossings. More than 70% of cargo was transported in containers, which confirms the development of logistics infrastructure between the countries.
