Kazakhstanis came in fifth place in terms of number of apartments bought in Turkey

Citizens of Kazakhstan in 2022 bought 2.7 thousand houses and apartments in Turkey. This is 29% more than in 2021 (2.09 thousand). In terms of interest in Turkish real estate, Kazakhstan has risen from sixth to fifth place. This is evidenced by the data of the Institute of Statistics of Kazakhstan, Kuryer reports.

In total, from 2015 to 2021, Kazakhstanis bought 8.5 thousand houses and apartments in Turkey. And seven years ago, only 540 transactions were made.

The first place in buying a home in Turkey in 2022 was taken by the Russians. They bought 16.3 thousand houses and apartments. This is three times more than in 2021, when citizens of the Russian Federation purchased almost 5.4 thousand cars.

The second and third places in terms of the number of real estate transactions are occupied by citizens of Iran and Iraq by 10 thousand and 6.2 thousand transactions, respectively.

On the fourth line - Germany. Citizens of this country made in Turkey only three transactions more than Kazakhstanis.

In total, 1.4 million houses and apartments were sold throughout Turkey in 2022.

According to Knight Frank's Global House Price Index, housing prices in Turkey increased by 189.2% in nominal prices and by 57.6% adjusted for inflation in 2022.

The budgets for the purchase of Kazakhstanis correlate with the limits that are set in popular investment residence or citizenship programs. In Dubai, the starting amount of investment in real estate for obtaining a residence permit is $205,000, in Greece - 250,000 euros, to obtain a Turkish passport, you need to invest from $400,000 (until June 2022 - $250,000).
