President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov called on the country's parliamentarians to expedite the adoption of the law on convening and holding the People's Kurultai. The first such Kurultai, which took place on November 25-26, 2022, was convened by the Decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan, and according to Zhaparov, such an order is not perfect, Ritmeurasia reports.

“Since the deputies have not yet adopted the law on the Kurultai, I convened it myself. After the adoption of the law, the People's Kurultai will be held at this time - at the end of the year - along with a report for the year. I ask the deputies to pass the law. The participants of the kurultai do not take away your powers, they express their problems on this rostrum. There's no harm here. If you accept, we will approve the provisions so that next year everything goes according to its own order,” Zhaparov said at the Kurultai.

The delegates of the Kurultai received good suggestions and ideas. “Each performance was transcribed. The organizing committee will distribute all tasks among the ministries, the president and the cabinet. In a year, we will give you a report on what was decided, what was not decided,” the President of Kyrgyzstan promised in his closing speech.
