Kyrgyzstan allocates funds to ensure stable energy supply in winter

The Kyrgyzstan government allocated 11.3 billion soms in June 2023 to support and develop the country's energy sector, as reported by the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan.

A significant portion of the funds, 5.4 billion soms, was directed towards the energy sector. Another 5.3 billion soms were budgeted for preparations for the upcoming autumn-winter season, aiming to ensure reliable and stable energy supply to the population during the cold months.

The remaining funds were distributed between two key hydroelectric power plant construction projects. An amount of 416.3 million soms was allocated for the construction of Kambar-Ata HPP, and 225 million soms for the construction of the small HPP "Bala-Saruu."
