Issues related to fuel and lubricants supplies to Kyrgyzstan and the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation with Azerbaijan were discussed during the working visit of Kyrgyz Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev to Azerbaijani energy agencies, Economist.kg reports.
During the meeting with SOCAR Vice President Anar Mammadov, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing regular supplies of petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan. Special attention was given to cooperation prospects in energy efficiency, digitalization of technological processes, and the implementation of modern environmental standards in oil refining and fuel handling.
The Kyrgyz delegation also visited the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, where it reviewed ongoing projects aimed at modernizing production facilities and deepening oil processing.
In addition, Torobaev held talks with Ruslan Talibov, Chairman of the Baku Shipyard. The shipyard’s representatives presented the enterprise’s capabilities in building ferries and other vessels for servicing routes along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor. The discussions touched upon the potential use of Kyrgyz ferries in the Caspian Sea to enhance the stability of export-import logistics and expand cargo transportation.
According to both sides, such cooperation will enable Kyrgyzstan to diversify its transport routes, reduce delivery times, and strengthen the position of national businesses in foreign markets.
