Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan agree on new projects and transit facilitation

Issues of trade, energy and transport, as well as simplification of transit procedures and development of joint investment projects were discussed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Nazarbek Malayev. He held talks in Ashgabat, where he visited the Turkmen Investment Forum and held a number of important meetings with representatives of the government of Turkmenistan.

One of the significant results was the discussion of the creation of an investment fund and plans to build the Turkmenistan business center in Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, the parties considered issues of increasing the export of electricity and oil products from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan, which will strengthen cooperation in the energy sector.

Projects to unify transport fees and simplify visa procedures for carriers were also discussed, which will create more favorable conditions for business.
