Kyrgyzstan becomes second in EAEU in terms of inflation

There was an increase in consumer prices and tariffs in November 2022 compared to the previous month in all EAEU members, except Belarus. The largest increase was recorded in Kazakhstan (by 1.4%), the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The highest inflation rate in the consumer sector of the economy in November compared to December 2021 (18.9%) was also recorded in Kazakhstan due to an increase in prices for food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) by 23.4%, non-food products - by 17.8% and services - by 13.5%. At the same time, in November, the maximum increase in the cost of non-food products was observed in Armenia - by 2.2%.

In Kyrgyzstan, in November this year, compared to December last year, the inflation rate was 13.5%. In contrast to the previous month, consumer prices rose by 1.3%. The growth was due to the increase in the cost of services, as well as food and non-food products.

In Russia and Armenia, inflation was recorded at 11.1% and 7.2%, respectively.

At the same time, in November 2022, inflation in Belarus decreased by 1.1%.
