Kyrgyzstan exports its goods to Europe 3.46% less than it does to Russia, according to data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Akchabar.kg reports.
According to official statistics, from January to July 2023, Kyrgyzstan exported goods worth $408,782.6 thousand to Europe, while it exported goods worth $422,925.8 thousand to Russia.
The majority of Kyrgyzstani goods exported to European countries are sent to Switzerland. During the reporting period, goods worth $375,114.3 thousand were exported to this country.
Romania ranks second in terms of goods exported from European countries. Goods worth $5,111.6 thousand were exported there. Goods worth $4,886 thousand were exported to Greece, $4,460.6 thousand to Serbia, $2,584 thousand to the Netherlands, $444.2 thousand to Belgium, $2,251.5 thousand to Montenegro, $1,608.3 thousand to Hungary, $1,633 thousand to Latvia, and $1,151.5 thousand to Poland.
Small shipments of goods under $1 million are also made by Kyrgyzstan to Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia, Sweden, and Estonia.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover for the period from January to July 2023 amounted to $6.7 billion, with imports accounting for three-quarters of the volume.
Kyrgyzstan mainly exports gold to Switzerland. The annual average gold production volume is around 15 tons.
