In the first quarter of 2024, the republican budget of Kyrgyzstan was executed with a surplus, amounting to $100 million or 5.8 billion soms. Among the EAEU countries, only Kyrgyzstan achieved such a result, as reported by Akchabar.

Thus, the revenues of the Kyrgyzstan republican budget in the period under review amounted to 80.1 billion soms, while the expenditures totaled 74.3 billion soms.

Moreover, the growth rate of the revenue part of the budget by January-March 2023, +19.9%, exceeded the expenditure part, totaling +7.4%. This allowed Kyrgyzstan to emerge from a deficit (in the first quarter of 2023, it amounted to 2.4 billion soms).

It is worth noting that compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, Armenia's budget surplus turned into a deficit. In Kazakhstan, the budget deficit increased by 24.2%, while in Russia, it sharply decreased by 85.8% (almost by 1.8 trillion rubles).

According to the results of 2023, Kyrgyzstan's GDP amounted to $13.7 billion.

Some experts expect that by the end of 2024, inflation in Kyrgyzstan will be below 10%. They attribute this to the relatively stable situation in energy and food markets.

The Eurasian Development Bank believes that inflation in Kyrgyzstan in 2024 will be 7.8%.

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan aims to keep inflation in 2024 at 5-7%.
