Kyrgyzstan was among the four countries in which Turkey will supply its "anti-drones". The corresponding contracts were signed in 2022. This was reported by the Turkish magazine Defense Turk, which publishes materials on military issues, reports kaktus.media.

Export agreements for the iHTAR anti-drone system, developed by the Turkish defense corporation ASELSAN to neutralize the threats of mini- and micro-unmanned aerial vehicles in urban and rural environments, Turkey has signed with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Niger and Angola. Export activities are planned to continue in 2023, the Turkish magazine wrote.

These drones are used to guard critical facilities, guard borders from illegal entry, and protect organizations with large numbers of people. Area protection can be achieved by working in conjunction with more than one mobile anti-UAV system.

There are two versions of iHTAR: mobile and fixed. The mobile version can be integrated into various vehicles, including trailers or civilian vehicles. Fixed is suitable for use when protecting base areas or important points in the city or countryside.

Kyrgyzstan has already purchased Anka, Bayraktar, Akıncı and Aksungur attack drones from Turkey, which were delivered in 2022.
