Kyrgyzstan's GDP exceeded 1 trillion soms with an increase of 11%

Kyrgyzstan's GDP in January-August 2025, according to preliminary estimates, exceeded 1 trillion soms ($11.43 billion), an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2024. Such data is provided by the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Economist.kg reports.

According to the department, the growth of industrial production is ensured by an increase in the production of pharmaceuticals by 2.2 times, food products (including beverages) and tobacco products by 44.4%, wood and paper products, printing products by 32.9%, rubber, plastic products and building materials by 32.2%, chemical products by 22.8%, in textile production and clothing production by 7.1%, as well as in mining by 15.5%.

Positive trends were observed in construction, where volumes increased by 34.8%, wholesale and retail trade by 11.6%, and agriculture by 2.4%.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, by the end of 2024, the country's GDP exceeded 1.5 trillion soms (about $17.2 billion). The growth compared to the previous year was 9%
