Currently, several Korean companies are participating in infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan that are driving the country's breakthroughs. However, many other Korean entities have expressed significant interest in entering the Turkmen market, which they consider to be quite prosperous, stated the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan, Ji Kyu-Tae, in an interview with CentralAsia.news.
The diplomat noted that recently, there has been a marked increase in both economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Turkmenistan. The volume of orders for Korean companies to build new industrial clusters in the energy sector is growing, and each year, more Turkmen students are coming to Korean universities to receive a quality education.
This dynamic in cooperation was strengthened during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, to Ashgabat in June of this year, according to Ji Kyu-Tae.
"We have a lot of work ahead of us, and I hope that additional opportunities will be created for the development of cooperation between the two countries, including in the areas of 'green' and digital technologies," concluded the ambassador.
It should be noted that, as a result of the negotiations in Ashgabat between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, an impressive package of bilateral documents was signed.
