Goods shipments through the Khorgos checkpoint, located on the border of Kazakhstan and China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, have increased as cooperation between China and countries participating in the One Belt, One Road project has grown. The checkpoint has all the possibilities for this: its throughput today is 3 million tons of products per year.
High-tech goods from China, including large-sized power equipment, are sent to Central Asia and Europe. Kazakhstan is one of the main recipients of cargo, Big Asia reports.
In addition, more and more Chinese cars pass through the Khorgos checkpoint. Cars are exported to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and other countries located along the "One Belt - One Road".
“We export more than 30 Chinese auto brands, mainly to Central Asia and Europe. Now our company sends 40-50 cars abroad a day. Since last August, we have shipped more than 10,000 vehicles,” Xu Henghuan, CEO of China International Logistics Company, said.
