More than a third of all foreign direct investments in Kyrgyzstan are attributed to the EAEU countries, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Sputnik reports.
In the first quarter of 2023, Kyrgyzstan received $170.9 million in foreign direct investments (FDI) from 49 countries.
The top three leading countries are:
- Russia - $44.76 million
- China - $29.35 million
- United Kingdom - $17.8 million
If we consider all EAEU countries, then collectively, Kyrgyzstan received $58.4 million in FDI from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Belarus, accounting for more than 34% of the total amount of received foreign direct investments, which is over one-third.
