A new industrial inflow of natural gas from various depths has been obtained at production well No. 265 of the Galkynysh field, reports Orient.tm.
Drilling operations were successfully conducted at a depth of up to 4,485 meters, revealing several productive horizons in the strata located 4,417–4,281 meters and 4,266–4,226 meters underground.
It has been confirmed that the volume of "blue fuel" extraction from this well, with a daily output of 2 million cubic meters, will only increase. This is further evidence of the effective exploitation of the country’s fields in line with modern requirements, according to the TDH agency.
Notably, the drilling teams utilize highly efficient yet complex technologies for well construction, which demand the highest qualifications from specialists.
The Galkynysh gas field, internationally classified as a supergiant in terms of reserves and considered "unique" in its technical characteristics, is now a reliable source of "blue fuel."
In addition to Galkynysh, dozens of other fields are under development in the country, including those on the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea shelf, which holds both gas and proven oil reserves. This confirms Turkmenistan's status as a powerful energy state, possessing the fourth-largest natural gas reserves in the world.
