Pakistan establishes ties with chambers of commerce and industry of Central Asia

The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan, in cooperation with the Asian Institute for Research and Development of Eco-Civilizations, has established a regional communication service. Its purpose is to provide information for promoting trade, creating B2B business networks and contacts at the level of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Azerbaijan and five countries of Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Orient.tm reports.

The opening ceremony of the new structure was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and Dean of the diplomatic corps in Pakistan Atajan Movlamov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khazar Farkhadov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ulanbek Totuyaev and Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Usmanov, the leadership of the Rawalpindi chamber.

Diplomats in their speeches spoke about the trade and investment opportunities of the five countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. The promotion of trade opportunities in various sectors was also discussed, including tourism, places of worship, energy and pharmaceuticals.

The need to simplify payment channels and visa issuance procedures, as well as to establish direct flights, was emphasized.
