The population of Uzbekistan is increasing by about 2,000 people daily, according to the Uzbekistan Statistical Agency.
According to the Agency, as of April 1, 2023, the permanent population of Uzbekistan was 36 million 197 thousand 781 people. The number of permanent residents increased by 2.2% compared to the same period in 2022.
From the beginning of 2023 in Uzbekistan:
- the population increased by 172.800 people;
- the population grows on average by 57.600 people in each month of 2023;
- every day the number of permanent residents increases by 1.900 people.
Earlier in Uzbekistan, the population was published. It turned out that most Uzbeks live in cities.
At the same time, there are 722,000 unemployed young people in Uzbekistan, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
In order to organize more accurate and targeted work with youth, a study of 9 million young people aged 14 to 30 years was carried out. At the same time, for the first time, data from 25 ministries and departments are integrated into a single database. The social status, abilities and interests were studied, measures were identified to introduce the mechanism of work “from the mahalla to the ministry”.
According to the data of the UPL.uz portal for 2022, the number of residents of Uzbekistan under 35 years old already makes up more than 60% of the total population of the country.
