Prospects of "smart cities" discussed at conference in Ashgabat

An international conference titled "Smart City: Governance, Digital, Intelligent Technologies, Security, Economy" was held at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University in Ashgabat, reports Orient.tm.

Scientists, engineers, and experts from around the world gathered in Ashgabat to share their ideas about the future of cities and discuss how to make life more comfortable and secure through digital solutions.

The forum brought together scholars and experts from 23 countries, including Korea, Turkey, Uzbekistan, China, India, Romania, Malaysia, the Russian Federation, Belarus, and the United States. Specialists from Japan, Austria, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Georgia, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines joined the discussions online.

Participants presented and analyzed the latest advancements in urban infrastructure digitization, exchanged experiences, and outlined paths for further collaboration. Topics such as artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, and cybersecurity were explored in this context.
