Zhang Ming, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, called Central Asia a key region of the organization during the Second Forum of Think Tanks of the Central Asian countries and China, Kazinform reported.
The SCO Secretary General emphasized the inseparability of Eurasia from the countries of the region, which are connected by uninterrupted transport links, and also noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the states of Central Asia.
The forum of think tanks is aimed at strengthening scientific exchanges between the leading institutions of strategic research in the Central Asian countries and China.
