Almost 60% of Tajik citizens who applied for a visa were denied entry to the United States. Basically, the refusal follows those citizens who apply for a category B visa, the US State Department said in a statement.

This category of visa is for short-term stays in the United States, such as tourism, medical treatment, or business meetings.

Uzbekistan is on second place, whose citizens were denied a visa to enter the United States in 47% of cases.

The list by CIS countries is as follows:

Tajikistan - 57.93%;
Uzbekistan - 47.04%;
Kazakhstan - 44.02%;
Armenia - 37.87%;
Kyrgyzstan - 37.85%;
Russia - 26.18%;
Belarus - 26.05%;
Azerbaijan - 23.54%.

Meanwhile, the lottery run by the State Department for the right to move to the United States among citizens of Central Asia is very popular. Uzbekistan occupies one of the leading positions in terms of the number of Green Cards received.
