Financing of priority projects in Tajikistan was discussed with the Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Development Fund, Avesta reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
During the participation of the official delegation of Tajikistan at the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank group, which continue on May 10-13, 2023 in the city of Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from Tajikistan Zavkizoda Zavqi Amin met with Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Development Fund Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.
At the meeting, it was proposed that the Saudi Arabia Development Fund, together with the Arab Coordination Group, take part in the implementation of priority projects of the national economy, including energy, especially the construction of hydro power plants, industry, textiles, agriculture, irrigation, transport, education and healthcare.
This proposal was positively accepted by the Arab side.
To date, this Fund has allocated more than $178 million in soft loans to the national economy.
