The Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan, Kiyomiddin Davlatzoda, and a representative from the office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Tajikistan discussed issues related to the expansion and development of the textile industry, workforce training, and the diversity of labor migration, Khovar reports.
Significant work has been done in the direction of preparing and training workers, meeting the labor market needs of the Republic of Korea with a workforce.
The parties also discussed proposals regarding further initiatives, development, and strengthening of cooperation between the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan and the Representation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency in Tajikistan.
The Korea International Cooperation Agency was established on April 1, 1991, as a government agency to support and implement programs aimed at reducing poverty and promoting socio-economic development in developing countries. This is achieved not only by strengthening international cooperation but also by enhancing partnerships with developing countries.
The KOICA office in Tajikistan was officially opened in February 2022. Its activities focus on enhancing the effectiveness of aid programs through political discussions and studying demand in areas such as industry, energy, transportation, healthcare, agriculture, digital economy, climate change, tourism, labor migration, and the country's specialist training oriented towards higher education institutions.
