As part of the International Customs Forum held on October 29 in Moscow, the customs authorities of Tajikistan and Russia signed an "Agreement on a Simplified Customs Corridor," reports Khovar with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.

The document was signed by the Head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Karimzoda, and the Head of the Russian Federal Customs Service, Valery Pikalyov.

This agreement will create favorable trading conditions for entities classified by the legislation of both parties as low-risk, including AEOs (Authorized Economic Operators), and will significantly speed up the movement of goods between the two countries.

New approaches to the development of international trade in the current geopolitical context and an effective system of business support measures were the main topics on the agenda of the forum's first day. In particular, during the session titled "Accelerating Cross-Border Operations - Key to Developing New International Trade in Russia," experts discussed improvements in freight clearance technology, infrastructure development at priority checkpoints, and transportation corridors within the EAEU and with APR countries.

Additionally, as part of the forum’s business program, several round tables were held, focusing on the priority tasks of international law enforcement cooperation, including strengthening the interaction of the Russian Federal Customs Service with foreign customs services in combating drug and tobacco smuggling. Several presentations took place in the interactive exhibition zone, with high interest in the presentation of online payment and customs payment administration services for legal and individual entities.
