The Minister of Finance of Tajikistan, Fayziddin Kahhorzoda, and the Minister of Treasury and Finance of Turkey, Mehmet Şimşek, have signed a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries in the field of economics and finance, the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan announced, Avesta reports.
"This regulatory act will contribute to further expanding cooperation between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey in enhancing the efficiency of public financial management," the statement said.
The document was signed during the working visit of the head of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan to Ankara.
It is reported that during the meeting between Kahhorzoda and Şimşek, they discussed issues of cooperation in implementing reforms in the public financial management system, particularly in the fields of education and healthcare within the collaboration with the World Health Organization and the World Bank, digitization of the public services system, development of non-cash payments, and the electronic payment system of the state.
