The next meeting of the working groups of the Joint Tajik-Uzbek Demarcation Commission took place from April 29 to May 4 in Dushanbe.

During the meeting, the progress of demarcation work was discussed and mutually agreed upon proposals were prepared on the project demarcation line of the Tajik-Uzbek border, and a corresponding protocol was signed, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

The next meeting will take place on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Tajikistan is also demarcating and delimiting the state border with neighboring Kyrgyzstan. There this process is coming to an end; most of the territories have already been practically described. According to the countries' authorities, less than 100 km remain to be finalized. The demarcation process has been ongoing continuously since the fall of 2022.
