Tajikistan asks Saudi Arabia to expedite anti-drug agreement

Director of the Drug Control Agency of Tajikistan Khabibullo Vohidzoda at a meeting with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Dushanbe Walid Abdurrahmon Al Reshaidon discussed the development of Tajik-Saudi anti-drug cooperation and asked to speed up the process of signing the Agreement between the governments of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on cooperation in combating smuggling and illicit trafficking narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and chemical precursors, Avesta reports.

During the meeting, the head of the DCA briefed the guest on the anti-drug situation in the country, the government's measures to combat drug trafficking, and the activities of the competent authorities in this direction.

According to the press center of the Agency, Khabibulo Vohidzoda also told the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia about the anti-drug cooperation of Tajikistan with other countries.

Ambassador Al Reshaidon called this issue important and expressed his readiness to assist in its consideration.

During the conversation, the parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking.
