In 2025, 280,000 jobs were created, restored, or commissioned in Tajikistan, according to Asianplus.tj. However, only about a quarter of these jobs were permanent.

The Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of Tajikistan, Soleh Kholmahamadzoda, announced the results for the year.

Citing data from the Agency of Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, she noted that of the total number of jobs created, 74,000, or 26.2%, were permanent. Around 50,000 were temporary jobs, and 152,200 were seasonal, accounting for more than half of the total.

The minister noted that this employment structure indicates the labor market's continued dependence on seasonal and temporary work, primarily in agriculture and the service sector.

At the same time, a significant number of jobs were created through support for entrepreneurial initiatives among the unemployed. Financial assistance was provided to citizens for establishing production activities, trade, and providing services to the public, which contributed to the development of self-employment and the creation of new sources of income.

Furthermore, in 2025, an increase in labor demand was recorded in industry, construction, and tourism. These sectors became priorities when analyzing employer needs and developing professional training programs.

"Today, domestic companies offer jobs with wages comparable to those abroad," stated Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment Soleh Kholmakhamadzoda.
According to Soleh Kholmakhamadzoda, despite the positive trend, increasing the share of stable, permanent jobs remains a key objective of state employment policy.

During the reporting period, employment agencies held 929 job fairs with the participation of more than 10,000 enterprises and organizations. During this period, more than 15,000 job vacancies were submitted to labor and employment agencies by enterprises, institutions, and farms, which were then offered to unemployed citizens.

According to official data, the State Program for Promoting Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2027 was implemented at a rate of 113.4% in 2025. Over the course of the year, 148,000 citizens used labor and employment services.
