The Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) increased its aluminum production by 24.7% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reports Sputnik Tajikistan.
"Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) produced 40.4 thousand tons of aluminum from January to June this year, which is 8 thousand tons more than in the same period in 2023," said TALCO Chairman of the Board Najibullo Rajabzoda.
He added that the company plans to increase aluminum production by 30% by the end of the year.
Rajabzoda emphasized that in the first half of 2023, TALCO exported more than 35 thousand tons of aluminum worth over $80 million.
It is noted that TALCO is one of the largest industrial enterprises in the country and the main exporter of Tajikistan. The company produces aluminum, 98% of which is exported.
