Tajikistan is systematically expanding the geography of supplies of agricultural products, a representative of the Export Agency of Tajikistan said at a press conference, the Orien portal reports.

It was noted that until 2015, Tajikistan was the leader among the countries of Central Asia in the export of dried fruits to non-CIS countries.

Up to 90 thousand tons of sweet fruits were exported from Tajikistan annually, but after the creation of the Customs Union, this status was lost by Tajikistan.

In 2022, Tajikistan exported more than 52 thousand tons of dried fruits, which accounted for approximately 27% of the country's agricultural products.

Earlier it was reported that due to some restrictions, Tajik products entered the territory of the Customs Union member states mainly under Kyrgyz and Kazakh labels.

The easing during the pandemic has again allowed Tajikistan to import its own branded products.

According to the report of the Agency on Statistics, Tajikistan's income in 2022 amounted to more than $7.3 billion.

Thus, this figure is 15% more than in the same period of 2021. According to official statistics, Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover remains negative.
