Based on the results of nine months of this year, Kazakhstan is one of the three main foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan, Kazinform reports.
According to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan, today Uzbekistan has trade relations with 193 countries of the world.
In January-September 2023, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached $44.7 billion and increased by 22.1% compared to the same period last year. Of the total volume, exports amounted to 17,739.4 million US dollars (+ 23.5%), and imports – 27,014.8 million (+ 21.2%).
China remains the country's main trading partner. Turnover between countries amounted to $9.45 billion (21.1% of the total).
Russia is in second place in terms of this indicator - $7.03 billion (15.7%).
Kazakhstan closes the top three with $3.22 billion (7.2%).
In the structure of mutual trade turnover, Uzbekistan exported goods worth $1067.0 million to Kazakhstan, and imports amounted to $2162.8 million.
It was previously reported that at the end of 2022, bilateral trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached $5 billion.
