Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in 2023 already exceeded $1.1 bln

The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey reached from the beginning of 2023 almost $1.12 billion. This is indicated by the data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The import of goods to Kyrgyzstan for the first nine months of this year reached $918.159 million, which is 41.6% more than the same period in 2022 ($648.353 million).

The export of goods from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey from January to September 2023 exceeded $201.373 million, which is 129.9% more than the same period last year ($87.590 million).

The total volume of external and mutual trade for Kyrgyzstan in January-September 2023 amounted to $10.8 billion. Compared to January-September 2022, this indicator increased by 26.2%, with exports growing by 49.6% and imports by 21.6%.

The volume of mutual trade with EAEU member states in January-September 2023 was $3 billion, decreasing by 9.2% compared to January-September 2022. Export deliveries increased by 3.5%, while import receipts, on the contrary, decreased by 13.7%.

The largest share of Kyrgyzstan's mutual trade with EAEU member states in January-September 2023 was with Russia — 65.3% and Kazakhstan — 32.4%.

The top three major trading partners for Kyrgyzstan in January-September 2023 are China, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
