"Turkmenistan Transport and Logistics Center" joint with the Russian company "RZD Logistics" will launch the transportation of containers from the railway station in Selyatino, Moscow region, to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas as part of the development of the international transport corridor "North / South," reports Orient.tm.
The transportation of goods will be carried out through the Serakhs station. Additionally, to increase the profitability of export operations and transportation of perishable goods, refrigerated wagons will be introduced on the new route. In the future, the number of such shipments is expected to increase to 5-6 per month.
The launch of this new route is in response to the growing demands of customers and shippers in the region. The Eastern branch of the "North / South" international transport corridor, which passes through Turkmenistan, ensures uninterrupted delivery of goods from industrial regions in Central and Northwestern Russia to the South Asian market, including through Iranian ports.
Thus, the created infrastructure allows for the expansion of the local potential for producing goods for further export.
