Uzbekistan is expanding its cooperation with the Turkish company Aksa Enerji. Together, they successfully implemented projects for the construction of modern power plants in the Tashkent and Bukhara regions with a total capacity of 740 megawatts. Recently, a ceremony was held to inaugurate a new 400-megawatt power plant in the Nishan district of the Kashkadarya region, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
Issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed during a meeting between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Chairman of Aksa Enerji, Cemil Kazancı. The company’s plans to participate in projects for the expansion and technological modernization of Uzbekistan’s energy sector were reviewed. Prospective projects in the field of "green" energy were also discussed, including the modernization of gas distribution systems, the construction of biogas plants, sustainable energy supply for industrial zones, and others in line with the bilateral "roadmap."
