In Turkmenistan, the director of the King Sejong Center, Mylayym Khudaynazarova, conducted a Korean-language training session for a group of Turkmen doctors undergoing instruction in Korean traditional medicine, Turkmenportal.com reports. The event was aimed at developing language skills necessary for professional training and working with medical terminology.

Participants studied the basics of Hangul—the Korean writing system created in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great. The doctors learned the structure of the Korean alphabet, practiced reading basic words, and acquired several professional expressions related to medicine and everyday communication.

The session was conducted in an interactive format using visual materials, practical exercises, and dialogues. This approach helped participants master correct pronunciation and medical vocabulary. In addition to language training, the attendees were introduced to elements of Korean culture and the specifics of professional communication—important for interacting with foreign colleagues and completing internships in Korea.

According to participants, the language classes help them better understand lectures by Korean specialists, work with professional literature, and more effectively apply the knowledge gained in their practical work.
