The document was signed by the head of the Turkmen Institute of the Caspian Sea, Murad Atajanov, and the managing director of the International Ocean Institute, Antonella Vassallo.
The document provides for the interaction of coastal countries in the field of marine sciences in the Caspian Sea, advanced training of Turkmen specialists working in various spheres of life at sea, and the organization of training courses.
Turkmenistan is hosting the “Caspian Sea - sustainable development and management” courses for the ninth time, and during this time more than 130 people from all Caspian states have been trained.
Specialists who successfully complete this course contact each other at various negotiation platforms, within the framework of cooperation mechanisms in the Caspian Sea.
The knowledge they acquire enables them to understand practical, complex problems and challenges. In addition, they form a kind of “Caspian pool” of maritime specialists.
According to the organizers of the course, there is no analogue to such training courses in regional practice yet and are an important contribution of Turkmenistan to the development of human potential and sustainable development in the Caspian Sea, increasing the level of competence and professionalism of all specialists dealing with any issues of the sea and its preservation for future generations.
