Turkmenbashi International Sea Port Reports 15.2% Cargo Growth in 2025, Handling Over 7.3 Million Tons

urkmenbashi International Sea Port increased its total cargo turnover to 7,316,326 tons in January–December 2025, representing a 15.2% rise compared to the same period in 2024, according to the newspaper Turkmenistan.

Of the total volume:

  • Export cargo: 4,465,956 tons
  • Import cargo: 1,522,793 tons
  • Transit cargo: 1,327,576 tons

The fleet of CJSC "Marine Commercial Fleet," comprising 20 modern vessels, transported 2,454,106 tons of cargo, 20,267 vehicles, and 3,207 containers over the course of the year. Additionally, the port served 170,162 passengers on domestic and international routes.

Construction of the dry cargo vessels Gadamly and Menzil continues at the Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant. According to the report, sea trials for these vessels are currently underway with the participation of the French classification society Bureau Veritas.
