Turkmenistan's Balkan Shipyard continues to implement a large-scale program to develop its national fleet. The shipyard's specialists are working on the construction of new vessels designed to enhance the country's transport and logistics potential in the Caspian Sea, according to Turkmenportal.com.

Currently, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the shipyard is rapidly constructing two modern dry cargo vessels and one dredger.

The construction of the new dry cargo vessels represents a strategic step toward increasing fleet capacity. This will significantly increase the volume of export, import, and transit cargo, and strengthen Turkmenistan's status as a key logistics hub in the Caspian Sea.

In parallel with the construction of the dry cargo vessels, work is underway on a specialized dredger, which will enable regular dredging operations. Maintaining navigation channels in proper condition ensures safe navigation and the unimpeded passage of large-capacity vessels, ensuring the efficient operation of international transport corridors.
